Our Anti-Spam Policy

Our commitment

PKT Quantity Surveyors ("PKT", "we", "us") does not send unsolicited commercial email. We contact people only where there is a genuine business relationship or where they have chosen to hear from us.

This policy applies to all communications sent by or on behalf of PKT, from our offices in Malaysia and Australia, and to all PKT directors, staff, contractors and any party acting on our behalf.

How we communicate

We send email only to:

• clients and consultants in connection with a live or past project;
• people who have contacted us directly with an enquiry, in reply to that enquiry;
• people who have knowingly given us their email address and agreed to hear from us.

We do not treat a business card, a public directory listing or an email address found online as permission to send marketing.

What we do not do

• Purchase, rent, trade or scrape contact lists from any source.
• Send bulk or unsolicited marketing email.
• Disguise the sender, or use misleading subject lines or headers.
• Share or sell your contact details to third parties for their marketing.
• Operate any affiliate, reseller or referral programme that promotes pktqs.com on our behalf.
• Authorise any third party to send email in PKT's name, or referencing pktqs.com, without our direct involvement.

What every PKT email includes

Any email we send that promotes our services will:

• clearly identify PKT as the sender, with our contact details;
• include a simple way to unsubscribe.

We process unsubscribe requests within five business days and do not contact that address for marketing again. You can also opt out at any time by writing to privacy@pktqs.com.

Emails pretending to be from PKT

Our name and domain may be used by others without our knowledge. If you receive an email that references PKT or pktqs.com that you did not ask for, or that looks suspicious, it has not been authorised by PKT.

Please do not click links, open attachments or reply with any personal or payment information. Be especially cautious of any email asking you to change bank details for a payment to PKT. Always confirm such requests by calling us on a number you already hold.

How to report spam

Forward the email to abuse@pktqs.com with the full email headers attached. Headers show where an email really came from and are essential for us to investigate. Most email programs offer a "Show original" or "View source" option.

We will acknowledge your report and investigate. Where appropriate, we will take action against the sender or refer the matter to the relevant authority.

Our people

Every PKT director, employee and contractor is required to follow this policy. A breach will be treated as a disciplinary matter and may lead to termination of employment or engagement.

Legal framework

This policy is designed to comply with the laws that apply to our operations, including the Australian Spam Act 2003, Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and Malaysia's Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
