About this Position
Contract Executive / Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As a Contract Executive, you will be responsible for assisting your seniors in cost estimating, budgeting, preparing tenders, contract administration and cost control of construction projects. You will be required to gather and analyze data relating to project costs, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of all cost-related information. You will be expected to work closely with the project team and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered within budget and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings with Clients and Consultants when needed
- Assist in preparation cost estimates, cost plans and set budgets for projects
- Undertake measurement for preparation for cost estimates, cost plans and preparation of BQs
- Assist in preparation of potential Value Engineering options to Clients
- Assist in preparation of tender documents - front end documents, BQs
- Assist in implementation of tender process for the various packages with seniors
- Assist in commercial tender review
- Assist in award of tender packages
- Conduct site visits as needed for monthly valuations and assessments of variations
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports for the project team and stakeholders
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for updating pricing
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts and claims for payment
- Perform other duties as required by the clients or by management
- Report to your seniors - Senior QS / Associate Directors / Directors
- Participate in internal workshops / trainings

What is required from you
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience
- 0-5 years of experience in a similar role or related field is required
- Preference is given to those with Consultant QS related experience
- Software Experience would be preferred : AutoCAD / Glodon Cubicost TAS, TRB / CostX
